This summer we are taking the girls to Bath, England for a month. Eric will be doing research at the University of Bath and the girls and I will be playing. We are hoping to extend the trip by a few weeks to do a little traveling and visit my family. Yea!
(And by yea, I mean I'm doing a happy dance around the living room).
I have narrowed our accommodation down to a few places. Here is my short list (descriptions taken directly from Bath Holiday Rentals)
COTTAGE IN THE COUNTRYThis charming period home on the southern slopes of the city will win everyone over. With a combination of stylish and luxurious interiors, great city views, pretty terraces, a short 5 minute stroll to the city centre or rolling green hills to explore, this house will be everyone`s cup of tea.
FLAT IN THE CITY CENTEREnjoy the bright lights of this pretty city from this perfectly tailored apartment for 4 in central Bath. Stylish, spacious interiors, large sun terraces for outdoor drinks or alfresco dining and an easy stroll to the city centre make this apartment a real treat.
PREFECT VIEWSCommanding an exceptional view over the world-famous Royal Crescent from the front, this spacious 3 bedroom apartment (perfect for 4 or 5 guests) also looks out over the Royal Victoria Park at the back. From the roof terrace you have a unique 360 degree view over the City of Bath and the hills and fields beyond.
Live like Kings and Queens in a picture perfect castle only 8 miles from Bath. Constructed in 1806, it`s a perfect little medieval fortress, complete with towers, battlements and portcullis, set within wooded and landscaped gardens. Deep within the castle walls are sumptuous living and dining rooms, full of warmth and character and 9 luxurious bedrooms.
If you, my lovely readers, come too then perhaps we can afford the castle!
I'm torn between being a little out of the city and close to rolling hills, or right in the city center and close touristy stuff.
What would you choose?
