For this weeks photography assignment we were given a foam sheet and asked to take a picture designed to sell something... Hmmm, I do like to take pictures of my creations to sell.
I photographed my felt starfish and sand dollar that I made for the girls last year. And I am considering making smaller versions as summer hair ornaments attached to pins or pony tail holders.
I just can't decide - cute or tacky? The line is so fine - what do you think? Fun hair ornament or best left on the toy shelf?
And yes, I am dreaming of the beach. Just a few more months to go...

This week I had the pleaseure of contributing a guest post to Whipup. I was pretty excited to share our magnetic garden, which was inspired by many trips to our local botanical garden.

This weeks photography assignment was to take a picture of a piece of bubble gum. I took a couple of Eric blowing a big bubble, but I much preferred this one of the bubble just burst. Again, I wish the picture was brighter - it was a very grey and dreary day.
Thank you all for the comments and e-mails encouraging me along and giving me practical advise.
And especially to Mireille for taking my last assignment and fixing it...
Perhaps I should take a Photoshop class next.

After making their Kira doll and beluga whale softies, girls asked to make larger softies that they could cuddle at night.
The larger pattern meant the project took multiple days to complete. This is our first project that involved pins!
We took it slowly and over a week of 3 or 4 sewing sessions (lasting an hour or two each) the girls finished their projects - it was quite a celebration!
