This pretty little pouch is currently on its way to a birthday party for one of the girls' school friends.
We made it this week to hold an array of sweet stickers that Nola and Kira made for the birthday girl. I think it can easily be tailored to hold any keep sake from letters to cards or photographs.
To make the pouch...cut out a piece of felt to your desired size (ours is 5" x 8"). On one end, fold the felt lengthways and cut at an angle to produce the envelope back. Round the corners to look fancy.
Next, fold the felt to look like a pouch and iron the folds.
Cut the birthday age and a flower(or more neutral image - perhaps a sun or cloud) out of coordinating felt.
Pin and sew the pretties onto the felt. Sew up the sides. (I am very proud of the girls' small and straight stitches.)
Fill with something nice and sing happy birthday.
